Lucca Horse Riding:
Bagni di Lucca offers not only historic charm, but also access to some of the region’s most scenic horseback riding experiences. While the town itself is known for it’s spa culture, the surrounding countryside stretching through the Piana di Lucca and up into the Apennine foothills, is a paradise for riders of all levels. Horse riding here allows visitors to experience Tuscany at a slower pace.
Hiking Trails:
Montefegatesi is ideal for hiking enthusiasts and nature walks. There are several trails that offer breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside.
If you walk, past Montefegatesi on the way to Orrido di Botri you will find ancient forests of chestnut, oak and beech trees
Another walk is between the Lima Valley and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. This is one of the pearls of the Garfagnana: Monte Coronato
